Chief Executive OfficerFull-time Executive Details: Responding to the ACT Leave Governing Board, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Registrar is a senior Executive role responsible for leading and directing ACT Leave and, as the Registrar, for exercising delegations under the Long Service Leave (Portable Schemes) Act 2009. The CEO provides leadership and strategic planning, focussing on innovation, engagement, collaboration and high performance, as ACT Leave administers and delivers portable long service leave to employers and workers in the covered industries.The CEO is appointed by and is a non-voting member of the ACT Leave Governing Board. It has a key role in providing advice and guidance on legislative scheme entitlements, operational priorities and performance, strategic risk and governance matters to the Board, and ensuring the governance, monitoring and oversight of the operations of ACT Leave along with key responsibilities as outlined in the Executive Capabilities.The role requires a person with exceptional leadership, people and engagement skills to provide leadership and direction through organisation transformational change, to set the strategic direction of ACT Leave and to achieve optimum performance from human, financial and capital resources.You should reference the ACT Public Service Executive Capabilities when making your pitch for the position.Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $281,899 - $293,175 per annum depending on the current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of$250,582.Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance-based long-term contract for a period of up to five years.
