We are currently seeking a Fire Support Specialist to join our team. As a vital member of our emergency services unit, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality fire and rescue services.
Your primary responsibility will be to attend incidents and emergencies, working closely with other specialists to ensure effective response and resolution. In addition to this, you will promote community safety and emergency preparedness through proactive engagement and education.
To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, as well as a commitment to ongoing training and development. You will also be required to maintain regular attendance at emergency incidents and training sessions, operate specialist equipment safely and effectively, and contribute to the upkeep and hygiene of our facilities.

* Current Australian Permanent Resident Status
* Employers written consent to attend incidents and emergencies (where applicable)
* Ability to live or work within a reasonable distance of our auxiliary fire station
Please note that all successful applicants will be required to commit to the following throughout their employment:
* Attending 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours; or 30% of calls as a shift worker or have non-routine hours
* Attending 75% of regular drill and training sessions
* Obtaining an MRV licence, at their own expense, within 12 months of employment
* Participating in ongoing skills acquisition and maintenance programs, including first aid/emergency care
* Complying with our policies and procedures including code of conduct, safety and personal presentation standards
