Queensland's Traffic Management Centres improve the efficiency of our road network by providing motorists with informed route choices, maximising the capacity of the road network and maximising the availability of Intelligent Transport System devices.
The Role
* As an Operator (Real-time Network Management) in our Cairns team, responsibilities include monitoring real-time operations of the state-controlled road network and responding to road operational issues through the implementation of operational policies, procedures and processes.
* Provide accurate real-time disruption information to internal and external stakeholders, including escalation of disruptions on the state-controlled network in accordance with Incident Criteria.
* Liaise promptly with stakeholders and service providers to ensure effective responses to planned and unplanned traffic incidents and associated traffic network conditions.
* Process high volumes of telephone enquiries in accordance with operational policies, procedures and processes, and record accurate details in the Incident Management System.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
* This role requires the employee to be available for a rotating roster five days a week Monday to Friday.
* Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
