About the Role
You will be responsible for estimating and administering contracts for a high volume of residential refurbishment projects, supported by Construction Supervisors and established systems and processes.
You'll be capable of administering up to 40 active refurbishment projects at a time, ensuring estimates, documentation, permits, trade scheduling, and contract compliance are progressed efficiently and accurately, this role will be the third position in the works administration team supported by and working with two other long term team members.
This is an office-based role in a modern professional office environment in Eltham.

Key Responsibilities
Typical refurbishment scope includes:
* Receiving new project requests, scoping and entering into systems
* Coordinating supervisors to attend site and confirm scope of works
* Preparing quotes using a schedule of rates and templated quoting system
* Preparing Domestic Building Contracts from templates and managing sign-off
* Coordinating and arranging building permits and documentation (where required)
* Creating project programs from template and scheduling trades/materials
* Issuing purchase orders for trades and materials
* Preparing site establishment paperwork and signage for supervisors
* Supporting supervisors throughout construction (typically 9-week refurbishment duration)
* Liaising with client-side Contract Administrators on commencement/completion
* Providing supporting documentation (certificates, job documentation etc.)
* Sending invoices for progress payments

Key Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience in construction estimating and contract administration (residential construction essential)
* Solid understanding of construction technical details
* General understanding of building regulations
* Strong ability to make decisions and progress projects in a timely manner
* Ability to work independently and hit the ground running after initial training
* Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Software experience preferred (but not essential):
* BuildXact (estimating/job management)
