The Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team based at Australind Pigment Plant in Western Australia. The role is offered on a permanent basis, working a 9-day fortnight, 38 hour average week.
The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for supporting plant maintenance, including:
* Maintenance and fault finding on Electrical, Instrumentation, and Honeywell DCS systems
* Fixed Plant inspections and maintenance
* Assisting in operational tasks to minimize plant downtime, including preparing and isolating equipment
* Completing work orders and reporting to a high standard, ensuring accurate information is entered into Tronox's Systems
* Statutory testing and inspections, including log book entry
* Installing and commissioning modifications and design changes to control, instrument, and electrical equipment, adhering to standards
* Utilizing SAP to obtain parts and complete documentation/reports as required
* Participating in team projects and sharing continuous improvement ideas to enhance maintenance, safety, process, and cost reduction
* Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping and workmanship
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess:
* Electrical Trade Certificate (essential)
* Cert IV Instrumentation (essential)
* HV Switching Certification (desirable)
* High Risk Licence; Forklift, Working at Heights, Confined Space
* Hazardous Area Certification (desirable)
* Experience with Gas Appliances (desirable)
* Fixed Plant experience and the ability to interpret engineering drawings (desirable)
