Residency Pharmacist Opportunity
The position of Resident Pharmacist is an excellent chance for early career Pharmacists to build a solid foundation in clinical pharmacy practice.
This 2-year residency program, supported by the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia (SHPA), combines contemporary clinical pharmacy practice with structured learning and hands-on experience across multiple areas.
* Deliver high-quality pharmacy services to patients across various clinical and operational areas.
* Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation at transfers of care.
* Efficiently dispense and distribute medication.
* Provide medication counseling to patients.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide routine advice on patient care.
* Support the quality use of medicines by participating in projects, audits, working groups or committees as required.
* Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and proper use of medicines.
* Commitment to continuing professional development and demonstrated evidence of meeting requirements specified by ICON Group Resident Training Program.
* Development and maintenance of personal residency program practice portfolio and program requirements as specified by AdPha and ICON Group Resident Training Program.
* Contribute to on-call, after-hours, and weekend services.

The Resident Pharmacist will take on a hands-on role at Northern Beaches Hospital, delivering high-quality pharmacy services to patients across various clinical and operational areas. This position focuses on actively applying knowledge to improve patient care while gaining exposure to diverse specialties through structured rotations.
