Role details The Emergency Department at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for an Associate Nurse Unit Manage to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity The Associate Nurse Unit Manager is a registered nurse who supports and works collaboratively with the Nurse Unit Manger role of a defined unit or specific patient/client area. This role provides leadership and direction to nursing staff and is responsible for the facilitation and provisions of operations and Human Resource Management consistent with contemporary standards and best practice within the Emergency Department. About the Team The Emergency Department (ED) is a level 4 (Clinical Services & Capabilities Framework). The ED provides 24-hour 365-day service for the reception, assessment, treatment, observation, admission and discharge of adults and children with urgent and non-urgent illnesses. About our Hospital and Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff.
