About the Opportunity
In this exciting new role as the Format Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of ALH Format Development strategic priorities, delivery and coordination of all programs, as well as collaborating cross functionally and broadly within your states.
You will be part of our Format Development Operations function for ALH hotels and partner with our State Operations teams, Format Development team, Renewal Working Groups and Endeavour Support teams.
You will be the conduit to, and representative of, the wider Operations function and will ensure that each renewed hotel is optimised and delivers the desired customer experience.
Overall, you will play a key part in bringing the customer proposition of each renewed hotel to life!
A day in the life of a Format Operations Manager
Delivery of the ALH format program of work in hotels within your states, considering all of the puzzle pieces:
1. Pub Design Prepare draft scope of works/design briefs, spatial planning and contribute during concept, design development and construction phases
2. Financial Responsible for all financial aspects of the renewal/build
3. Marketing Work with the ALH Marketing team to align on market positioning, interpret competitive sets and coordinate rebranding/brand builds
4. Product Work with the Commercial team and Group Executive Chefs to ensure the product offering will align with guests’ expectations
5. People Work with Venue and Operations Managers on upskilling of hotel teams, as well as be the one point of contact for Format Operations within the states
6. Operations Partner with Operations teams to coordinate operational activities during disruption and launch activities
What you’ll need to succeed
7. Experience in the delivery of all the ‘puzzle pieces’
8. In depth knowledge of hospitality operations, including experience in the operating of pubs
9. Understanding of industry trends and demographics
10. Strong communication, including the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation
11. Strategy development, transformation and program management experience
12. Innovative and creative mindset, adaptable and effective in complex and ambiguous environments
13. Ability to articulate a vision
14. This role will require travel within the portfolio
