to join our Children, Youth & Families team in
Hervey Bay & Maryborough - Fraser Coast.

role, you'll be instrumental in delivering culturally safe, inclusive, and empowering services to First Nations communities, helping to break the cycle of over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in care.

group, providing services across Queensland for over 50 years. Our first fostering program began in ****, and we currently provide services and support across Queensland from Cape York to the Gold Coast.
What You'll Do
Provide case management and tailored support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
Build strong community partnerships with agencies, carers, and families to create sustainable support networks.
Deliver culturally inclusive programs that promote healing, resilience, and well-being.
About You:
You are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
(a genuine occupational requirement under Section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act ****).
You have a
degree qualification in social work, psychology, social science or a related discipline
(or equivalent level of expertise with more than 4 years' experience attained through previous appointments, service, and/or study, with a minimum Certificate III in Community Services, as approved by the State Manager or Operations Manager).
You have applied knowledge and understanding of child protection
and out-of-home care frameworks, including knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of, the Child Protection Act ****.
You have a
demonstrated ability to complete assessments for care
and a deep understanding of the contemporary challenges faced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
You have experience in child protection
, community services, or supporting vulnerable children and families.
You possess strong interpersonal skills
and the ability to work sensitively with diverse communities.
What You'll Need:
Current driver's licence - P2 minimum
Current National Police Certificate, Working with Children (Blue Card), Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check (LCS) - or the ability to acquire.
