Responsibilities
* Decorate: Focus on presentation of baked goods, using skills such as piping, glazing, and chocolate work to create visually appealing desserts.
* Manage kitchen operations: Oversee the pastry station, ensuring quality, consistency, and organization, including ordering supplies, managing stock, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment that meets health codes.
* Develop new products: Create new and unique recipes, often in consultation with clients for events or aligning with a restaurant's menu and brand.
* Team leadership: Schedule and train other kitchen staff, such as pastry cooks and assistants.
* Client interaction: Meet with clients to discuss specific needs for catered events and special orders.
