Field Service Technician: A Crucial Role in Ensuring Equipment Efficiency
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Field Service Technicians to join our team in Darwin. As a Field Service Technician at Toyota Material Handling Australia, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers' equipment is maintained to the highest standard, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services including planned maintenance, repairs and modifications at the Customer's site and in accordance with the Customer's requirements and within the Company's guidelines and procedures.
* Job Responsibilities:
* Conduct mechanical repairs and maintenance of customer units which includes preventative service and break-downs in a timely manner.
* Maintaining professional level of customer service with all clients and customers.
* Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of material handling equipment, including forklifts, reach trucks, and automated systems.
* Conduct preventative maintenance services to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
* Respond to service calls efficiently, providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting.
* Maintain accurate service records and reports.
* Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that exceed expectations.
* Collaborate with the wider service team to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
* Stay updated on the latest technology and service procedures within the industry.
* Ability to maintain accurate records of job sheets, timesheets and any other administrative components.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
* Current Driver's license.
* Relevant trade qualification (Forklift Mechanic, Automotive Electrician/Light Vehicle Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle, Plant, Diesel Mechanic).
* Previous experience within the forklift industry or similar in an associated industry.
* Proven experience in servicing and maintaining material handling equipment or similar machinery.
* Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
