* Salary: $95,777 – $102,659 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.
Lead research data engagement and shape best practice across Western Sydney University.
The Opportunity
As a Research Engagement Librarian, Data, you will play a pivotal role in advancing research data management practices across the University. This position is central to supporting researchers and HDR students in managing, storing, and sharing data throughout the research lifecycle.
You will collaborate with the Research Office and national research data initiatives to ensure compliance with legal and funding requirements while promoting FAIR principles. Your expertise will help design and deliver evidence-based resources and programs that empower researchers to meet evolving data governance standards.
This role also involves monitoring emerging technologies and integrating innovative solutions to enhance library-led research data services. By fostering strong partnerships and delivering tailored support, you will contribute to the Library's strategic priorities of researcher success, authentic partnership, and sector leadership.
What Success Looks Like:
* Build strong engagement with researchers and HDR students through proactive outreach.
* Deliver expert consultation on research data management aligned with compliance standards.
* Develop and implement scalable programs and resources for research data management.
* Integrate emerging technologies and national initiatives into library services.
* Maintain current knowledge of trends to ensure responsive and innovative support.

About You
* Degree in library or information services or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Strong understanding of research data management needs and practices.
* Excellent communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
* Knowledge of national and international research data management initiatives.
