Opportunity exists for a highly motivated professional to work on an innovative Trailblazer Project focusing on multi-agent decision making in contested and dynamic environments. The project involves applying data fusion, decision making and machine learning extensively, with real-world testing and feedback.
The selected candidate will be working under the direction of A/Prof Claudia Szabo in the School of Computer and Mathematical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. This position will involve collaboration with Praetorian Aeronautics and their testing team to field test emerging AI agent-based technology and contribute to projects of national significance.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about the current state of drone-based surveillance, tracking and distributed decision making firsthand, and make a meaningful impact on the future direction of critically deployed solutions.
Key Requirements:
* Excellent industry experience in computer science, data science or (applied) machine learning, decision making, and other closely related areas is essential.
* Demonstrated expertise and experience in data science and data fusion are necessary.
* Expertise in user experience (UX) design, specifically in developing user interfaces that enable effective operator control and monitoring of drones, is required.
* A relevant first degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline is necessary.
* Expertise and experience in computer programming, especially in Python and C++, is required.
