As part of our Farms team, you will play a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability and ensuring uninterrupted production.
This weekend‐based role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment reliability and uninterrupted crop production.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out a range of electrical and mechanical work on glasshouses, equipment, machines, sub‐assemblies and manufacturing parts
* Diagnose and repair faults on complex mechanical services, engineering plant and equipment
* Plan, schedule and organise work within maintenance plans and coordinate with stakeholders
* Provide immediate response to emergency breakdowns and work orders
* Perform preventative maintenance of plant and equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations
* Troubleshoot operational and technical equipment problems to minimise production interruptions
* Assess job requirements and complete maintenance activities efficiently
* Initiate and complete work orders with accurate reporting and timely close out
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and maintenance procedures
* Perform mechanical repairs and other duties as directed
* Work unsupervised during weekend operations
* Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures
* Report incidents, hazards and environmental issues as required
* Maintain accurate records within computerised maintenance management systems
About You
* You are a qualified Maintenance Electrician with experience working across plant equipment, greenhouse infrastructure and complex electrical systems, with the ability to troubleshoot faults, perform preventative maintenance and work independently in a fast‐paced environment.
* Electrical licence (essential)
* Minimum 5 years' experience in manufacturing, industrial or agricultural operations
* Experience working with pumps, motors and plant equipment
* Strong electrical fault‐finding and troubleshooting capability
* Experience performing preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Experience using computerised maintenance systems
* Strong problem‐solving and decision‐making ability
* Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment
* Experience in food production, agriculture or greenhouse environments
* Full working rights in Australia
