NSW Department of Communities and Justice is opening a talent pool for future ongoing and temporary vacancies for the Community Service Officer Administration Assistant role in Broken Hill.

Location: Broken Hill Community Corrections
Employment type: Talent pool creation for temporary and ongoing vacancies
Salary: $84,659 – $92,701 pa plus superannuation & leave loading
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct induction interviews, work placement assessments and inspections and allocate clients to appropriate agencies through written instructions.
* Identify and induct potential agencies into the work order scheme to ensure a supply of agencies to meet demand.
* Allocate offenders to suitable work locations and monitor their ongoing attendance and progress.
* Co‑ordinate and maintain computerized and manual attendance records for offenders placed at worksites and collect hours worked, record data and generate reports.
* Undertake work, health and safety site inspections of agencies to establish suitability for the work order program.
* Manage client and agency enquiries regarding placements, absences, appointments and other general enquiries related to the work order program.
* Prepare relevant papers to assist the Community Service Organiser in court preparations.
* Participate in meetings with the Community Service Organiser, Community Corrections manager and field officer to coordinate the operations of the work order program.
* Prioritise workload and deliver tasks according to procedures and local directives.
* Serve as the first point of contact for enquiries concerning the work order program and exercise discretion in referring matters elsewhere.
What We're Looking For
* Sound knowledge of the Work Order Scheme philosophy, objectives, and relevant legislation.
* Knowledge of workplace health and safety issues for agency inspections.
* Current driver's licence and willingness/ability to drive within NSW.
* Successful completion of community service training.
