Regional HSE Manager
As a Regional Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager in Southeast Queensland, you will oversee 10 warehouse and transport operations from the Gold Coast to the Sunshine Coast. You will implement HSE initiatives and training to continually progress our safety culture and performance across these operations.
This role is ideal for an experienced HSE professional who has expertise in managing multiple sites and overseeing operational compliance. The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, ability to influence stakeholders, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coaching and mentoring stakeholder groups on HSE strategies and activities that foster a safety-obsessed culture
2. Developing and reviewing Site HSE Plans in partnership with key business stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Business Unit HSE Plan and assisting the business in achieving objectives and targets
3. Driving HSE governance processes, including undertaking HSE system and compliance audits and preparing sites for quality, customer, and safety audits
4. Identifying and implementing HSE training and communication programs that clearly articulate Group HSE information and safety expectations
5. Reviewing the quality of information submitted by New South Wales sites into TRAC, including safety conversations, hazard identifications, corrective actions, incidents, and investigations
Qualifications:
* Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or other relevant discipline; ICAM Certification desired
Knowledge/Experience:
* 5-7 years of practical experience in a HSE role with a focus on Transport, Warehousing, and Logistics; relationship management of internal clients and external stakeholders; prior experience in participating in third-party audits and corrective action planning
Technical/Professional Skills required:
* Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards, and management system standards
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Experience in conducting incident investigations using ICAM or similar methodologies
* Competent computing skills, advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
