Position Description:
As a Structural Engineer at ADELAIDE STRUCTURAL, you will directly report to the Team Leader and play a vital role within our Adelaide team. You will work closely with the Team Leader/Director and complement their work in client relationship management. Your skillset should encompass a wide range of technical abilities, including adept project management skills applicable across multiple projects.
We expect you to possess a deep technical understanding with a strong emphasis on successful project delivery. Your ability to work autonomously will be key, especially when operating within tight timelines. You will thrive in a newly established role within our growing business, understanding the importance of agility and flexibility in meeting and surpassing agreed-upon deliverables and key business objectives.
Qualifications:
You are a consultative and results-driven Structural Engineer comfortable with client interactions while remaining committed to project delivery excellence. Your project management experience should match your technical expertise, allowing you to be hands-on in engineering tasks. You consider yourself highly autonomous and accountable, traits you will carry into this role.
However, you also recognize the significance of teamwork and value the contributions of your colleagues. Your confidence and maturity lead you to seek expert guidance when needed. Familiarity with systems such as RAPT, ETABS, Strand 7, and SPACE GASS will be advantageous.

Strong technical background with ability to perform hands-on engineering tasks.

Proven track record of time and budget management.
Responsible for tasks including fee estimates, proposal creation, tender submissions, technical documentation development (including conceptual and detailed engineering design), and project scheduling.
Handling of commercial aspects like contract review, subcontract creation, invoicing, and recovery.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Competence to work independently but also seek guidance when necessary.
Ability to discuss the business confidently and identify potential commercial opportunities.
