As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play a vital role in the fabrication of production machines and equipment. You will be responsible for assembling metal parts and subassemblies, conducting fault finding for breakdowns, and completing mechanical checklists.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough inspections of plant and machinery to ensure they are in good working order.
* Assemble and fabricate production machines and equipment using various materials, including hydraulic, mechanic, electronic, and pneumatic components.
* Identify and rectify faults in machinery and equipment to prevent downtime and minimize losses.
* Complete weekly inspections of plant and machinery to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
Requirements
* Australian Recognised Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification.
* Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card).
* RIIWHS204D or RIIWHS204E Work Safely at Heights certification.
* RIIWHS202D or RIIWHS202E Enter and Work in Confined Space certification.
* Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable.
* Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
* High Risk Work Licence (EWP) is preferred but not mandatory.
