About the Role
Due to the continual growth of the Cairns Marine Precinct, new opportunities exist within our Darwin or Cairns based Supply Support Department for enthusiastic and driven Supply Support Officers.

This dynamic role reports to the Supply Support Lead, providing general supply chain and administrative support to our In-Service Support programmes.
Key Objectives & Responsibilities:
1. Interpret parts work requests and provide quotes.
2. Maintain Inventory Management Systems (IMS).
3. Initiate cataloguing of new inventory items in IMS.
4. Manage repairs to inventory.
5. Evaluate and process inventory demand requests efficiently and timely.
6. Convert quotes into warehouse inventory demands and purchases as required.
7. Source materials and services to continuously improve Supply Support function performance.
8. Organise port services according to contractual requirements.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders.
10. Provide input to Supply Support reporting requirements.
11. Identify and report Supply Support risks and opportunities.
12. Report obsolescence issues.
Requirements:
1. Must be an Australian Citizen.
2. A formal qualification in trade, logistics management, or engineering would be highly regarded.
3. Minimum 5 years' experience within supply support, preferably with some Defence experience.
4. Hold a Construction safety induction (white card).
5. Knowledge of asset management standards and configuration management systems and processes.
6. Experience with supply chain management and part interpretation.
7. Innovative thought and solid problem-solving skills.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Intermediate competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Inventory Management software such as Pronto or IFS.
10. Excellent time management and organisational skills, prioritising tasks effectively and working to deadlines.
11. Diligent, adaptable, and calm under pressure, capable of working independently when needed.
