**About the role**
In this role you will be working in the City’s Amenity Protection team to assist in the administrative operation of the children’s crossing supervision service. This includes the recruitment and training of children’s crossing supervisors and the authorisation of time sheets. You will contribute to the provision of professional administration support to the unit in an efficient and effective manner with a strong emphasis on customer service.
**Work type: Temporary Part Time (2 days p/w - Thur & Fri) through to Feb 2027**
**Classification: Band 5 Commencing from $81,005 (pa - pro rata plus super)**
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenance of an up to date list of children’s crossing supervisors and the times of operation of individual crossings.
- Maintain a record of current children’s crossing supervisors and relievers and associated administrative functions
- Rostering work for children’s crossing supervisors on a daily basis.
- Delivery of theoretical training to new recruits and refresher training to existing supervisors.
- Assist in the provision of administrative duties within the unit which may include data input of various information, answering telephones and filing.
**About you**
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced administrative professional, who enjoys working in a fast paced setting, with the ability to liaise with a diverse range of people. You will be highly organised, have a keen eye for detail, with high levels of resilience and problem solving skills.
Essential Experience:
- Several years experience working in a similar administrative role with a customer service focus.
- Ability to use a personal computer including a high level of competency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and other software.
- Demonstrated experience in supervision of staff.
- Ability to liaise with and gain co-operation and assistance from other staff, public authorities and clients.
- Ability to prepare reports and external correspondence.
- Current Employee Working with Children Check (WWCC)
