Overview
Mobility Consultant - Assistant Director at EY. The position will work with business leaders and assignees (at all levels) to plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end international mobility assignments into and out of the region. You will guide and provide relevant advice to stakeholders to ensure a consistent, exceptional assignee experience. The role also includes responsibilities to support the AS Regional Lead in managing the regional team and function.
Responsibilities
Act as an additional point of escalation for Mobility Consultants and business stakeholders, and assist with resolving issues raised.
Serve as a strategic business partner by understanding the Talent strategy, business and industry issues as they apply to stakeholders.
Support the Regional Lead in overseeing Mobility operations, including data integrity in the Global Mobility Tool (GMT), consistent application of global processes, monitoring caseloads, and assisting with reallocation where necessary.
Assist Regional Lead with globally consistent implementation of new policies, processes, programs, and initiatives within the region through stakeholder discussions, impact analysis, and change management execution.
Act as counsellor to one or more Mobility Consultants in the Region.
In the absence of the Regional Lead, represent the Region in Global and Area Mobility calls and workgroups.
Develop understanding of local operations and processes affecting Mobility (e.g., invoicing, engagement codes, global HR systems such as SuccessFactors, payroll) and apply knowledge to represent the Region in global and regional discussions to identify opportunities for improvement and barriers to success.
Monitor changes to employment law, immigration, tax, data privacy, and their impact on process and service delivery.
Monitor and review Immigration and Tax Services processes to meet KPIs as detailed in the Service Level Agreement.
Represent the regional team in cross-pillar workgroups and initiatives, and participate in projects affecting Mobility (e.g., global Finance and HR systems).
Supervision Responsibilities
Assist the Regional Lead in delivering Mobility Assignment Services in the Region/Country, ensuring Mobility Consultants meet performance standards and adhere to Global Mobility policy frameworks and processes.
Review VTH output as agreed, revise and allocate additional tasks as necessary with the Regional Lead.
Contribute to the development of others by providing feedback and recognizing accomplishments.
Act as counsellor to Mobility Consultants in the Region and oversee ongoing training and development of team members.
Monitor vendor services and provide feedback to continually improve operations.
Knowledge And Skills Requirements
Demonstrate leadership to support the Regional Lead in team management.
Significant knowledge and experience of international mobility, policies, processes, and systems.
Strong knowledge of HR principles (recruitment, career management, performance, termination, remuneration, onboarding, employee relations).
Understanding of Tax, Immigration, and social security legislation and relevant employment law.
Understanding of payroll requirements to draft accurate instructions for compensation amendments related to assignments.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders as an advisor.
Robust customer service mindset and ability to deliver exceptional service to internal stakeholders and assignees.
Strong communication skills with diverse audiences, including regions, Service Line stakeholders, Talent Team, Tax and Immigration teams, and external vendors.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Ability to work in virtual teams and complex stakeholder matrices.
Proficiency with Global Mobility Technology tools and other relevant HR systems.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
High level of business acumen, intellectual rigor, and commercial awareness.
Ability to network across EY practices, SLs, or geographies.
Team-oriented with strong attention to detail.
Other Requirements
Due to the global nature of the role, willingness to work flexible hours may be required.
Position Requirements
Education:
Educated to degree level is preferred, but not required.
Experience:
5+ years of relevant experience.
Certification Requirements:
Professional certifications and/or masters studies in a related discipline are preferred, not required; active membership in related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required.
