As a Principal Development Assessment Engineer, you will serve as a pivotal interface between Logan Water, Council's Development Assessment Branch, and the broader development industry, including developers, engineering consultants, and State Government agencies. Your leadership and technical expertise will help shape Logan's urban future and ensure resilient, sustainable water infrastructure for generations to come.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide expert engineering advice: Offer technical guidance on complex water and sewerage development matters, including pre-lodgement consultations, design reviews, and construction standards.
2. Lead assessments: Oversee the review of technically complex development applications, identifying risks and opportunities for Council infrastructure and stakeholders.
3. Review developer-submitted designs: Ensure compliance with Logan Water standards by reviewing water and sewerage designs submitted by developers.
4. Develop quality assurance frameworks: Implement quality assurance and compliance frameworks for development engineering assessments.
5. Prepare technical reports: Produce high-quality technical reports and briefs for senior stakeholders, including Council executives and elected officials.
6. Negotiate infrastructure agreements: Manage and negotiate infrastructure and tankering agreements for large-scale developments.
Additionally, you will contribute to the development of policies and standards for water and wastewater infrastructure, drive continuous improvement initiatives, promote a strong safety culture, and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
