Their client base is diverse in portfolio range, size and industry and the Bookkeeping team are equally as driven and strong in team culture and are results focussed.
**The role**
This role reports to the Head of Bookkeeping and is a vital part of the team.
As an experienced Bookkeeper you will be responsible to deliver high end bookkeeping services to our clients and, with business growth, the opportunity to become the Assistant Manager of the business within 12 months as they expand the team.
The duties and responsibilities of this role include:
- Ensuring data entry, reconciliations and client files are always up-to-date and in good order 
- Ensuring work quality in the preparation of BAS & IAS, payroll, and superannuation returns 
- Handling Xero setups and conversions, and training clients if needed 
- Monitoring and ensuring statutory compliance and meeting client's deadlines 
- Communicating with and supporting clients when needed 
- Be part of the team and participate in training 
- Improving practice and quality of work as needed
**About you**
Apart from having a service and results driven personality, you will also be a strong team player and thrive on being organised, proactive and an active participant in the results of the business and your team going from strength to strength. You will be commercially minded and love building relationships with your clients.
Some key experience and skills required for this role are:
- You have 3+ years bookkeeping experience within a Public Practice environment 
- Strong working knowledge of Payroll, Preparation of BAS, IAS, TPAR and payroll tax returns, Balance Sheet reconciling and reporting is required 
- Experience with Xero a must and with other cloud based programs highly desirable 
- Experience dealing with clients in varied industries and varied degree of complexity. 
- Experience with end-to-end accounts payables and receivables 
- Reconciliations of bank and credit statements 
- Month-end, EOFY preparations, and 
- Reporting 
- Enjoys building rapport with a variety of clients 
- Able to prioritize work in order to meet deadlines 
- Able to work independently and as part of a team 
- Please note that this is an _office based_ role working fulltime from 8.30-5.00pm Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch_
