Veterinary Nurse Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse to join our dedicated team. As a vital member of our veterinary practice, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients and support to our clients.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
* Administering medications and providing post-operative care to patients
* Conducting laboratory tests and analysing samples
* Monitoring and caring for hospitalised animals
* Educating clients on proper animal care, nutrition, and preventative health measures
* Maintaining accurate medical records and managing appointment schedules
* Ensuring the cleanliness and organisation of the veterinary clinic
* Providing emotional support to pet owners during difficult times
* Participating in continuing education to stay current with veterinary nursing practices

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent qualification
* Proven experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
* Proficiency in administering medications and assisting with surgical procedures
* Strong knowledge of laboratory testing and interpretation of results
* Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
* Demonstrated ability to maintain accurate and detailed medical records
* Thorough understanding of animal health, welfare, and veterinary clinic procedures
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
