About The Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the community radiology setting provides safe, compassionate clinical care, collaborating with the radiology team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The RN engages in reflective, analytical practice through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of person-centered care. The position is mainly based at our Quinns Rock clinic, with flexibility to work across our Morley and East Fremantle locations as needed.
Responsibilities
* Provide compassionate nursing care during imaging procedures such as MRI, CT, X-ray, and ultrasound.
* Conduct patient assessments, review medical history, monitor vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
* Assist radiologists and technologists during procedures, ensuring proper patient positioning and support.
* Educate patients and families about imaging processes, preparations, and post-procedure care.
* Follow safety protocols, including radiation safety and infection control.
* Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic medical records.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance nursing care and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
* AHPRA Registration - Registered Nurse.
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in imaging or radiology, with experience assisting in interventional procedures.
* Experience with inpatient admission, recovery, and discharge is essential.
* BLS certification is mandatory.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
