Band 8 - Salary Range $123,831 to $138,629 per annum + 11.5% Super + ADO

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity to work in this high-profile and visible role, in one of Australia’s fastest-growing municipalities. You will work closely with the Senior Portfolio Leads to manage project demands and deliver council’s diverse and complex portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Lead, you will manage large-scale projects and programs of the council's Capital Delivery Program.
Key Responsibilities
1. Effective project planning, tracking, and reporting mechanisms to meet the needs of corporate reporting requirements.
2. Undertake all tasks necessary for the successful program and project management of assigned large-scale capital programs and projects in the planning, development, programming, design, construction, change process, and handover.
3. Develop and contribute to the Business Case for Council’s suite of large-scale capital programs and projects.
4. Develop and comply with Council’s policies and procedures related to project management of large-scale capital projects.
5. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and scope, in accordance with the approved Business Case.
6. Provide budgetary control and regular reports to Council, Executive, Project Sponsor, and Project Owner on all aspects of assigned programs and projects.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
* Tertiary qualifications in engineering, building, project management, or equivalent, or qualifications in another field with extensive experience in program and project management.
* Current valid white card (construction induction training).
* Extensive experience in managing large-scale local government infrastructure projects.
* Experience in contract management, negotiation, and dispute resolution for large infrastructure projects.
* Experience in change management, including recognized methodologies.
