As an Innovation Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing defense systems that safeguard national security and shape the future of space defense.
The National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to customers in the intelligence and national security communities. Your work will have a profound impact on the country's most critical mission – protecting our national security.
* You will deliver technical and programmatic support to the government for all lab activities.
* You will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance to customer leadership on emerging technologies, including AI, and initiatives related to space systems capabilities.
* You will advise customer and enterprise leadership on the efficacy of planned lab initiatives, assessing factors such as cost, schedule, performance, risk, and opportunities.
* You will help optimize operational efficiencies, allocating limited resources effectively, and evaluating the impacts of capability changes and customer decisions.
Key Qualifications
* TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
* Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) or relevant field, and nine (9) years relevant experience; Masters in STEM or relevant field, and seven (7) years relevant experience
* At least seven (7) years of hands-on systems engineering experience, including preparation of necessary system engineering artifacts
* Demonstrated expertise across full systems engineering lifecycle and project management
* Experience gathering and identifying actionable requirements for new capabilities
* Familiarity with DevOps, DevSecOps, Agile development, and AI; Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering and associated tools
* Polished communication skills, impeccable interpersonal skills, and personal judgment
