* Salary range: $40,882 to $66,037 p.a. (HBEAP1 - HBEAP4)
* Annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

About your opportunity:
Townsville Hospital and Health Service (THHS), Building Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) is looking for an enthusiastic team member to assist the Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Trade Team to provide and maintain high quality heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) infrastructure supporting facilities for patient care and staff accommodation throughout THHS.
The successful applicant will be eligible to qualify as an Engineering Tradesperson (Air-conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic) after gaining a thorough working knowledge of the Air-conditioning and Refrigeration trade through structured on the job training and work experience as well as formal TAFE studies in Engineering Tradesperson (Air-conditioning and Refrigeration) course.
This is an Identified position - Under s25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991, there is a genuine occupational requirement for the incumbent to be indigenous to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Community.
Requirements:
* Possession of class C drivers' licence.
* This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
* Probation period may apply.
* Pre-employment checks will be conducted including Aged Care screening.
