Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is proud to be partnering with a leading mining operation in the Bowen Basin to source an experienced Commercial Manager for a 3-month temporary assignment, with genuine potential for this role to become permanent.
Reporting to the General Manager and CFO, you'll lead the site's finance and commercial functions, managing a small on-site team while collaborating closely with corporate finance.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee financial accounting and manage the site month-end process
* Prepare and review accruals, budgets, forecasts, and life-of-mine plans
* Conduct monthly cost review meetings with site leadership and corporate executives
* Analyse operational costs and provide recommendations for improved cost control
* Manage production, CHPP, drill & blast, and labour reporting
* Prepare and monitor capital budgets, approvals for expenditure (AFEs), and capital spend reporting
* Support tenders, contract reviews, and contractor payment claims
* Conduct monthly contractor meetings and issue notices as required
* Oversee site service contracts including cleaning, accommodation, and waste management
