Workshop Manager

Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated workshop in support of Explosive Ordnance Projects. The successful candidate will draw upon their previous management experience to develop and support the workshop, fostering an outstanding safety culture.
* Oversight and management of a dedicated workshop
* Lead the implementation of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tool
* Manage servicing and calibration of technical equipment
* Drive safety culture within customer site
* Provide technical input to support user requirements
* Develop or maintain documentation including Work Orders, Work Instructions, SOPs, Risk Assessments, Equipment maintenance procedures
* Potential support to customer training and competency management

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, the preferred candidate will have:
* Significant manufacturing/production experience leading safety-critical technical operations
* Relevant trade qualification(s) - certified mechanical/electrical technician
* Certificate IV WH&S certification
* Substantial hands-on and supervisory experience in a multi-discipline workshop environment
* Demonstrated experience leading teams within technical quality management frameworks
* Experience leading improvement processes implementations e.g. Lean, Six Sigma
