Salary Range: $93,559.90 - $99,589.18 per annum

Responsibilities
As an IT Business Consultant, you will act as a strategic link between IT and Council's business units, identifying opportunities, driving digital transformation, and ensuring that technology investments deliver real, measurable outcomes for the organisation and the community.
You will work closely with directorates across Council to understand their needs, help shape IT demand, guide business cases, and provide expert advice on everything from procurement to change management.
This is more than just a tech role, it is about understanding people, solving real-world problems, and using technology to enhance how Council operates and serves its residents.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualification and/or relevant professional qualifications in Information Management, Information Technology (IT), Business Analysis or Project Management related discipline.
* Significant demonstrated experience as an IT Business Analyst.
* Previous experience working on IT projects / programs.
* Solid knowledge of Business Analysis best practice standards methodologies such as BABOK (Business Analysis Book of Knowledge)
* Experience in business consulting and business requirements collection and data analysis skills.
* Significant demonstrated experience in the creation of business cases which consolidates view of scope, cost/benefit and risk of proposed solutions.
* Proven experience in in-house and external software development and implementation including participating in software testing, defect triage and remediation activities.
* Proven ability to communicate, negotiate and influence within an organisation, especially at executive and senior management level.
