Chilled Equipment Specialist
About the Role
This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of chilled equipment across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Main Responsibilities
1. Prioritizing maintenance and repair work to meet agreed timelines and response times is essential.
2. The successful candidate must be able to identify non-repairable faults, advise the team lead, and recommend suitable replacements.
3. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation for PPM schedules is critical.
4. Ensuring all technical and compliance documentation is up to date.
5. Participating in an out-of-hours standby rota and coordinating coverage arrangements when necessary.
6. Staying informed about relevant regulations and industry standards.
7. Ordering, fitting, and testing parts or components according to established procedures.
8. Notifying the helpdesk of task status when work ceases.
9. Informing colleagues of repair, maintenance, and installation issues that could impact store operations.
10. Responding promptly to service requests, assessing job requirements, and performing repairs as needed.
11. Conducting surveys and submitting reports as required by the refrigeration supervisor.
12. Completing tasks efficiently and effectively while adhering to company Health and Safety policies.
13. Meeting deadlines and delivering results to the satisfaction of both the company and clients.
14. Utilizing professional written, verbal, and record-keeping procedures.
15. Attending required training sessions and staying current with technical and business developments.
16. Completing mandatory online training modules.
17. Adhering to the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company's Health and Safety Policy.
18. Collaborating with colleagues to maintain quality standards.
19. Representing the company professionally and fostering positive relationships with colleagues.
20. Responding to reasonable requests from management.
