Responsibilities
Facilitating accredited literacy and numeracy learning in a culturally sensitive way
Delivering engaging and motivational education sessions aligned with the prison's core day schedule
Designing, planning, and evaluating education programs for prisoners
Supporting innovative initiatives such as the prison music program
Maintaining student resources and ensuring compliance with RTO standards
Actively contributing to continuous improvement and team collaboration
Qualifications
Experience teaching literacy and numeracy in diverse learning environments
A tertiary teaching qualification and willingness to meet RTO standards (within six months if not already met)
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage varied stakeholders
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and student data systems
A team-oriented approach, openness to change, and focus on achieving skilled goals
A current National Police Check (less than one year old) and ability to gain security clearance
