Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Plant Technician to join our team at one of Australia's key hydro facilities. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our renewable energy assets.
Our ideal candidate will have advanced trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines and significant experience in hydro generation operations and maintenance. You will be an excellent problem-solver with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform inspections, maintenance, and fault-finding on hydro generation equipment
* Operate and maintain plant systems safely and efficiently
* Support and lead outages, overhauls, and commissioning activities
* Coordinate with contractors and contribute to project delivery
* Drive continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Advanced Trade qualifications in mechanical or electrical disciplines
* Proven experience in hydro generation operations and maintenance
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team
* Flexibility to support other sites and participate in standby duties
