Platform Engineer (AWS + Databricks) | ASAP Start | Large Utilities Organisation
* 6 month contract with likely extensions
* Up to $1100 p/d (may be negotiable)
* Melbourne Location (Hybrid) / Remote
Primary Purpose of the Role:
Deliver platform capability across Terraform, Databricks and AWS. Support the build and maintenance of scalable data and platform environments for ongoing project delivery.
Key Accountabilities:
* Build and manage AWS platform components using Terraform
* Support Databricks platform configuration, optimisation and governance
* Implement platform automation and reusable infrastructure patterns
* Manage IaC workflows, version control, CI pipelines and environment setup
* Ensure secure, stable and scalable cloud environments
* Work closely with data engineering and architecture teams
* Provide guidance on cloud, platform and DevOps standards
Essential Requirements:
* Strong experience with Terraform
* Solid knowledge of AWS platform engineering
* Experience supporting Databricks environments
* Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure patterns and automation
* Experience with CI pipelines, version control and IaC
* Ability to troubleshoot platform issues across cloud and data environments
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
