About the role
We are seeking teachers for Humanities and Social Sciences to fill permanent and fixed‐term, full‐time and part‐time vacancies through the 2026 school year and until Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and impactful HASS lessons across various disciplines, including ATAR and general courses, catering to a range of student abilities.
* Create an inclusive classroom environment that fosters deep understanding of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop, review, and refine the HASS curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and challenging.
* Engage in reflective practice to continually improve teaching strategies and student outcomes.
* Contribute to developing critical thinking, research and analytical skills among students.
Qualifications and Experience
* Qualified teacher with a current teaching certificate in Humanities and Social Sciences.
* Experience in delivering ATAR or general HASS courses.
* Strong knowledge of HASS disciplines and awareness of current educational trends.
* Committed to fostering strong student relationships and inspiring a love of learning.
* Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
Professional Requirements
* Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or hold a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of appointment.
* Obtain a WA Working with Children Check before commencing.
