About the Role
Based in Whyalla, you will deliver high‐quality personal care to Helping Hand clients living in their own homes. Each day is unique and may include breaks in shifts depending on client requirements. While you will mostly be working independently, you'll be supported by a team of coordinators, administrators and other staff.
Responsibilities
* Support clients to live in their homes by helping with household chores.
* Stay aware of changes to a client's health and emotional wellbeing, and advise a Helping Hand Coordinator.
* Maintain a friendly, professional and positive manner when representing Helping Hand in the community.
* Deliver social support by engaging meaningfully with clients in each interaction.
Qualifications
* Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
* Certificate III in Individual Support or Aged Care.
* Current Australian driver licence (P2 minimum).
* A registered, well‐maintained, reliable and insured vehicle.
* Good communication skills, including speaking and writing clearly and accurately.
* Ability to operate smartphones and apps (e.g., Microsoft Outlook).
* A valid NDIS Worker Screening clearance (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
* Previous experience in personal care delivery in a community setting.
* Demonstrated ability to make decisions, take initiative and work independently.
