Experienced Psychologist / Child Psychologist

The Positive Psychology Centre is a group of private psychology practices located on the Mornington Peninsula and in Melbourne's south-east with a vision to continue contributing to positive change, growth, and wellbeing in our communities.

About the Role

This exciting opportunity exists for an experienced and compassionate practitioner to join our Mornington practice primarily, on a full-time basis (although part time will be considered for the right candidate) with the flexibility to work across our Oakleigh or Mt Eliza clinics. If you enjoy variety, and proudly take responsibility for the provision of the highest standard of care and a range of psychological counselling and other support services, this may be the ideal role for you

About You

* Strong case management, organisation and time management skills (essential);
* Effective interpersonal & superior rapport-building skills (essential);
* Excellent written, report writing and verbal communication skills (essential);

* Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a diverse workplace, willing to contribute positively to our supportive and inclusive culture;

* Accountable, responsive and proactive with the ability to drive excellent therapeutic outcomes and relationships;
* Willingness and confidence to work with children along with the interest and skills to work with NDIS clients (essential);
* Eligible for Medicare provider number (essential);
* Previous experience in diagnosing ASD, ADHD and Specific Learning Disorders (preferred);
* Expertise in conducting psychological assessments, including WISC-V, WIAT-III, WPPSI-IV and ADOS-2 and outstanding report writing skills (preferred);

* Experience in supervising interns, placement students, and registrars (highly regarded);

* Board Approved Psychology Supervisor (BAPS) status (highly regarded);

* Endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist with PsyBA or eligibility (highly regarded);

* Driven and passionate with a positive outlook and a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully to our workplace culture and the community;
* Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to prioritising clients' and colleagues' needs and wellbeing;
* Professional, flexible and able to have fun at work;
* Current and valid Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check;
* Full working rights.
