Responsibilities
As a Senior Lecturer and endorsed Nurse Practitioner, you will make a significant contribution to the school's teaching and research profile, delivering high-quality education across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including CQU's new Master of Nurse Practitioner course. You will lead engaging lectures, tutorials, practical sessions and clinical teaching, contribute to course coordination and curriculum development, and supervise honours and postgraduate students through both coursework and research projects. Within this forward-thinking academic community, you will also contribute to scholarship, professional engagement and partnerships with industry and clinical stakeholders, strengthening nursing education and preparing the next generation of advanced practice nurses.
Position Requirements
* Possession of or working towards a doctoral qualification (PhD) in Nursing.
* Registration as a Registered Nurse and endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Significant contemporary and current practice experience as an endorsed Nurse Practitioner.
* Proven ability to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate university students with experience supporting their development through multi-modal delivery strategies.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with effective interpersonal skills and an understanding of the relationship between teaching and learning, research and scholarship.
* Demonstrated ability to engage and build effective networks with industry, community partners and key stakeholders.
