Environmental Expert Role
The Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program aims to enhance road safety by implementing targeted measures. This initiative includes wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and upgrades to narrow structures.
The Australian and Queensland governments have committed significant funding for the program, building on existing investment under the Queensland Transport and Roads Investment Program (QTRIP).
As an Environmental Officer, you will provide critical guidance and environmental expertise to the Director and project team members, managing various environmental issues associated with the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP).
Responsibilities include leading environmental assessments, managing external consultants, promoting relationships with stakeholders, auditing environmental compliance, and implementing the Department's Environmental Management System and Practices.
* Provide high-level guidance and environmental expertise to the Director and project team members.
* Manage various environmental issues associated with the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP).
* Lead environmental assessments, manage external consultants, promote relationships with stakeholders.
* Audit environmental compliance, implement the Department's Environmental Management System and Practices.
