We are looking for an experienced Accountant (bookkeeping and payroll focus) to take ownership of a portfolio of community healthcare clients, supporting them across bookkeeping, payroll, and compliance. This is a hands-on, responsible role suited to someone who enjoys structure, accountability and working closely with clients.
About the role
You'll be responsible for the end-to-end bookkeeping and payroll for assigned healthcare clients, working closely with the director and wider team This is a full-time role, based in our Gosford office. Hybrid flexibility may be considered once you're established in the role.
Key Responsibilities
* End-to-end bookkeeping using MYOB
* Payroll processing and award interpretation (SCHADS / Nurses awards)
* Bank reconciliations and balance sheet maintenance
* Accounts receivable and payable management
* Monthly reporting (P&L, balance sheet, variance awareness)
* Compliance support (IAS, BAS, super, payroll-related obligations)
* Primary point of contact for assigned clients
* Liaising with clients professionally and proactively
* Working independently while collaborating with the team
About you
* Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
* Confident managing payroll and compliance independently
* Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions
* Organised, calm, and professional in your communication
* Enjoy working in a structured office environment
* Accounting or bookkeeping qualifications preferred (Diploma / Accounting degree)
