GE PowerOn Advantage - Developer
Responsibilities
- Development of functionalities as per business requirement.
- Ensuring development decisions remain aligned with business needs.
- Facilitating solution knowledge transfer within team.
- Design functional and integration test plans/scripts and perform unit testing activities.
- Direct and coordinate work of others to test programs.
- Track and document changes to functional and business specifications.
- Create or assist others in the writing of user documentation, instructions, and procedures.
- Understand "best business" practices and standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Functional / Technical knowledge on configuration of different modules in PoA (PowerOn Advantage) including System, SCADA, DMS, OMS, and integration with OT applications like PI Historian.
- Experience writing PL/SQL, Shell, Perl scripts; knowledge of SOAP web services; setup/configuration of SOAP services and interfaces.
- Experience with PoA components: Group Tele Control, Automation, system tracing, Symbol Design, Alarm Configurations, etc.
- Experience in integrating PoA with OT applications and corporate systems.
- Experience in reports development using Microsoft SQL Server Report Builder and deploying reports to SSRS.
- Server setup: PoA Application and Database server, reports server, FEP server, Historian and DPF application server, Proxy Server; replication of application and report servers.
- Knowledge of PoA cartography for network build; OSI PI system is a nice-to-have; good understanding of Windows and Linux servers.
- Knowledge of Agile Project Management; Java, .NET.
- Strong business writing and communication skills; ability to write procedures, guidelines and O&M; documentation; customer interactions; and ability to work in a multi-vendor setting.
- Ability to work with the business team, gather inputs during development, write test cases per business requirements, and support system integrations.
