Job Opportunity: Aviation Maintenance Apprentices
Coulson Aviation Australia, a subsidiary of the global aerial firefighting company Coulson Aviation, supports Australian States and Emergency Service Organizations with aircraft and experienced team members.
We operate across the world with a diverse fleet of large aerial firefighting assets, providing rapid response capabilities.
Our team manages and maintains NSW Rural Fire Service-owned aircraft, performing various missions including aerial firefighting, transport, surveillance, disaster mitigation, search and rescue, and related tasks.
About This Role:
We are recruiting skilled individuals to join our Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing teams as Aviation Maintenance Apprentices.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in troubleshooting mechanical systems, conducting inspections, and repairing components under the supervision of an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME).
* Document maintenance activities accurately and submit records promptly.
* Maintain tools, work areas, and vehicles in good condition.
* Participate in training programs as required.
* Promote a safe working environment and adhere to safety protocols.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Strong technical writing skills.
* Proficient computer skills.
* Previous experience in disassembling, cleaning, diagnosing, repairing, or overhauling mechanical components is highly desirable.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
* Ability to interpret instructions and drawings.
* Experience with Computerized Aircraft Maintenance Program (CAMP) is advantageous.
