We are one of the largest window and door manufacturers in Australia and we need new staff to expand.
About You
You are a safety and quality-focused Mechanical Fitter working hands-on our mechanical fit-out and repair team. You'll be an enthusiastic and dynamic all-rounder and have exceptional management and time management skills.
Your key focus areas in this role are:
* Completing basic care, preventative maintenance, and planned corrective works on a variety of plant and equipment across several factories.
* Working in a team environment to resolve day-to-day technical matters and run site projects.
* Working with the operations and production teams to implement required repairs and modifications.
* Assisting with metal fabrication welding (steel and aluminium) and metal machinery and press work.
* Providing support to the site for unplanned stoppages to minimise plant downtime.
* Documenting preventative maintenance plans and spare part stock holdings, etc.
You will be able to demonstrate diagnostic and repair skills in the following areas:
* Automated machinery.
* Hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
* Heavy fixed plant.
* Welding and fabrication – MIG, TIG & Stick.
* Mechanical expertise with some preferred electrical aptitude.
You will have the following skills and attributes:
* Automation experience.
* Restricted Electrical License (REL).
* Trade qualification, a minimum of 5 years relevant working experience as a service technician.
* Certificate 3 in Engineering - Mechanical Trade and completed an apprenticeship.
* Strong mechanical background working on industrial equipment with electrical aptitude.
* A current manual driver's license.
* Forklift license.
* EWP would be advantageous.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong focus and commitment to safety.
* Self-motivated and able to work in a strong team environment.
* Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
* Honest, reliable, and proactive with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
The following would be highly regarded:
* Disconnect License.
* EWP would be advantageous.
