About The Role
* Meal Preparation & Cooking: Preparing, cooking, and plating meals for residents, including special functions.
* Special Dietary Requirements: Catering to dietary needs and texture-modified diets with care.
* Menu Planning: Supporting menu development based on resident preferences and nutritional guidelines.
* Food Safety & Hygiene: Adhering to high standards of cleanliness and food safety (HACCP principles).
* Stock & Supply Management: Efficiently managing kitchen supplies and ordering stock as needed.
* Collaboration: Working closely with the hospitality and care teams to deliver smooth service.
* Documentation: Ensuring all food safety and care records are accurately maintained for accreditation compliance.
What We're Looking For Essential
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Cook.
* A recognised trade qualification in cooking or hospitality.
* Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.
* National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
* Strong teamwork skills and a resident-focused approach.
* Commitment to service excellence and safety in aged care.
Desirable
* Experience in aged care, health, or institutional kitchens.
* Italian language skills.
* Understanding of aged care accreditation and continuous improvement.
* HACCP or Food Safety Supervisor certification.
