About the Role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a broad and hands-on Accountant role
responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance operations of the group.
You will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, assisting with management
accounts, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and project-related accounting across
Leda's active portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Assist in the preparation of consolidated group financial statements
* Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and
commentary
* Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely
processing
* Commercial lending management, reconcile and maintain loan schedules.
* Assist with term deposit management
* Bank Guarantee management, ensure all issued guarantees and bonds are recorded and
reconciled to bank facility, weekly guarantee management with development team
across Leda offices.
* QLD property management assist with budgeting, forecasting, P+L and debt
management.
* Understanding and experience of financial markets, bonds and terms deposits would be
advantageous.
* Job Costing Reporting / Cashflows for development projects - Update Cheops /
* Feasibilities / Cashflows with actuals and Board approved variations.
* Assist development managers with financial reporting and analysis
* Assist accounts payable clerk with certifying coding of all invoices and contract claims -
* Provide analysis to project costing and update consultants cost to date schedules.
* Job Costing Reports
* liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required
* Provide cover in absence of direct report.
* Assist consolidation on weekly and monthly financials, leasing and debtors for Leda
group of 4 x Shopping Centres
* Drive process improvements and assist with system enhancements across the finance
function
About You
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* CA/CPA qualified preferred
* 3–5 years' experience in a similar role
* Exposure to property, construction, or related industries advantageous
* Strong technical accounting skills and a keen eye for detail
* Proactive communicator with the ability to partner across teams
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
