Registered Nurse (Aged Care) for a base wage between $77,000- $87,000 per year, depending on skill level + Superannuation - Overtime and Penalty Rates are also available
Our client is looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join their dedicated aged care team. In this role, you will help residents live with dignity, independence and wellbeing, while working in a supportive and respectful community environment. You will be responsible for delivering safe and high-quality clinical care, managing medications, monitoring health conditions and providing hands-on nursing support tailored to each resident's individual needs. Your commitment to person-centred care will ensure that every resident receives the best possible support to maintain their health, comfort and quality of life. Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care to elderly residents, especially those with complex and changing health conditions.
•Deliver clinical care such as medication administration, wound care, chronic disease management and palliative care, in line with best practice.
•Assist residents and their families to make informed decisions about their care, ensuring their wishes and preferences are respected.
•Work closely with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary care team to assess care needs and develop individualised aged care plans.
•Review and update care plans regularly to reflect changing health status and personal goals.
•Ensure all nursing activities, progress notes and observations are clearly and accurately documented according to policy and legislative requirements.
•Supervise and mentor Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Workers and other support staff to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery.
•Provide clear clinical direction and guidance, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
•Support staff to develop their knowledge and skills in aged care best practice.
•Maintain a safe, supportive and homelike environment that promotes residents' health, comfort, security and quality of life.
•Comply with all relevant aged care standards, policies and procedures to ensure the highest levels of care quality and safety.
•Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance the resident experience.
•Take part in ongoing training and professional development to keep up to date with aged care best practices, policies and regulatory requirements.
•Actively contribute to a positive workplace culture focused on learning, respect and excellence in care.
Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
•Minimum one year of practical nursing experience, ideally in residential or community aged care.
•Fully vaccinated for influenza (annually) and COVID-19.
•Demonstrated understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care principles.
•Commitment to long-term employment in a caring, community-focused aged care setting.
