Based at Buderim, this is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned communications professional to lead stakeholder engagement and media relations for major transport initiatives.
Your new role
As the Senior Communications Advisor (Delivery), you will be responsible for managing stakeholder engagement, community relations, media interactions, and executive correspondence. You'll work closely with senior advisors and lead a small team to ensure consistent and effective communication across multiple projects.
* Leading stakeholder and community engagement strategies for infrastructure delivery
* Providing tactical advice and resolving communications issues
* Supervising communications staff and reviewing public-facing materials
* Building and maintaining relationships with media and key stakeholders
* Ensuring compliance with relevant governance frameworks and standards
* Supporting staff and contractors with training and advice to enhance communication outcomes
What you'll need to succeed
* Demonstrated experience in strategic communications or community engagement, ideally within infrastructure or public sector environments
* Strong writing and editing skills across various channels
* Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes
* A degree in communications, journalism or public relations (desirable)
* IAP2 certification or willingness to obtain (highly regarded)
* A current Class 'C' Driving Licence (desirable)
* Ability to pass a criminal history check
What you'll get in return
