Daphne is a vibrant public house in the heart of Brunswick East, known for warm hospitality, delicious produce-driven food and a lively, supportive team.
We're now looking for an experienced Sous Chef to help lead our kitchen and keep our busy venue running at its best.
About the role
Working closely with the Head Chef, you'll play a key part in guiding the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and setting the tone for each service.
You will:
Lead by example and help foster a positive, collaborative kitchen culture
Support service, prep management and kitchen organization
Manage rostering and staff planning with confidence
Oversee ordering, costings and general numbers without hesitation
Communicate clearly and support the training and development of junior staff
Contribute ideas for menu development and continuous improvement
About you

Has strong experience in a senior kitchen role
Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Enjoys working collaboratively and problem-solving as a team
Stays calm, organised and solution-focused during serviceIs passionate about delicious, produce-led cooking
