Job Opportunity:
Key Role in Aged Care Kitchen
Cater Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Catering Assistant to join our team at a key aged care residence in Kingscliff.
In this important role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our residents enjoy nutritious, well-presented meals and a warm, supportive dining experience every day.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assisting with food preparation, including salads, sandwiches, and texture-modified meals
* Serving residents meals and snacks with exceptional customer service
* Restocking as required, and cleaning kitchen & dining areas after meal periods
* Dishwashing and general kitchen duties
* Setting tables, plating meals, and supporting the chef with general kitchen duties
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation, and/or customer service
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet resident needs and service expectations
* Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
* Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
